me2me AG is proud to announce the following people have joined the team:
Based near London UK, Steve Ratcliffe is joining as Director, Business Development, for UK, Ireland and South Africa. Steve studied in London, attaining a degree in Electronics. He started his career in Telecommunications at Cole electronics, later bought out by Motorola Codex, worked through engineering roles to take a senior position in the Pre-sales Government team. Developing his commercial and innovative approach to business he worked on a very early (1996) Voice (VoIP) and Web solution, taking this product to market in Europe for Infonet Services Corporation. Later working for top companies such as Mercury, Lucent and Equant he has built up over 20 years Telecoms experience and specialty in understanding and exploiting the commercial advantage of emerging technologies. Steve said: "When I first came across me2me and started looking at using voice to deposit and retrieve information, I found that very interesting....when I thought about it further, I soon realised the potential! Voice commanded web services - you can now talk to the world wide web, and it answers back to you.... the possibilities are endless..."
Based in Boston, MA, William Wen has been named VP, Business Development, mostly concentrating on the US investor community. William holds a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters from the Yale School of Management. He spent 8 years at Nuance Communications in Corporate Development and Finance and was responsible for leading 18 acquisitions including Lernout & Hauspie, Philips, Speechworks, Nuance Communications and BeVocal. Before Nuance, William worked in Corporate Development at Xerox Corporation. "I am looking forward to working with Peter again. He has assembled a great team around an innovative product. And this is all backed by Swisscom. There is not many such great opportunities under the current circumstances!"
Based in Dallas, TX, John Elliott is our new VP Sales in the US. John is a graduate of the University of Tulsa. John has both sold to and worked in the carrier space for the majority of his sales career with a focus on opening up new markets for a variety of technologies. He has over 10 years of experience in the Speech Recognition Technology market, first as Director of Service Provider Sales for Nuance Communications, then as Vice President of Global Sales for vlingo Corporation. John is a consultant to me2me AG. "me2me is filling a critical need for today's busy consumers--an easy way for them to create and access their personal information in a central repository. I am impressed by the team, the background of my new colleagues and their shared goal of improving our users' busy lives. I am very excited by the opportunity to be a part of the expansion of this Swiss technology company into North America", said John.
