New! Frisbee Smart

Press Coverage - Speech Strategy News Sept 2011

Oak and me2me collaborate on an Electronic Health Record Solution
Includes dictation, transcription, and speech recognition system

me2me' s Frisbee transcription-workflow-management software creates a portal for dictation users to store, send, and prioritize dictations (SSN, June 2011, p. 15). Transcriptionists and authors using Frisbee can integrate Nuance's Dragon Medical or Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software to do the initial transcription.

In August, me2me and Mighty Oak Technology, a health information technology company, announced that they have signed an agreement to pursuing integration between Frisbee and Mighty Oak Technology's Chart Talk, an Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution. The integration of the two solutions allows physicians to dictate their clinical notes with the recorder of their choice directly into the transcription system Frisbee, using Dragon Medical and Chart Talk's smart commands and navigation features to record information in the patient's chart. Dictations are queued to the transcriptionist's Frisbee workspace, clearly identified with the name of the physician, type of dictation, etc. The transcription can begin immediately by using Frisbee's integrated speech technology to transform the dictation into structured data directly into Chart Talk.

Peter Hauser, CEO of me2me, commented, "Thanks to the combination of speech recognition and workflow management, the adoption by the physician of an EHR increases because no change in familiar dictation habits is required."
