me2me offers dictation management app for iOS devices
Nuance speech-to-text integrated as an option
me2me’s Frisbee transcription-workflow-management software for the legal, healthcare, and administration markets creates a portal, e.g., serverbased software for an enterprise, for dictation users to store, send, and prioritize dictation (SSN, September 2011, p. 18). Transcriptionists and authors using Frisbee can integrate Nuance’s Dragon Medical or Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software to do the initial transcription.
In November, me2me added the option of Frisbee Smart for the Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The new downloadable app turns the smartphone into a digital dictation device, making dictation available to all Frisbee users as well as other professional digital dictation solutions. The digital dictation workflow solution allows users to dictate into one of the Apple mobile devices and send audio files wirelessly to the transcriptionist of their choice or to an FTP server, using one of the multiple data transfer protocols available or a Wi-Fi connection.
A free version of Frisbee Smart can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. The free version is limited to 5 dictations of 30 seconds each. The full version of Frisbee Smart can be purchased at any time from one of me2me’s certified partners.
